Founder & Practice Owner

Dr. Rese Schmetz was born and raised in Savannah, GA. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and Georgia Southern University- Armstrong before receiving her undergraduate degree. She earned her doctorate's degree from the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine. She opened the doors of Guyton Animal Hospital in 2014!
The favorite part of her job is getting to work on large animals one day and small animals the next... everyday is different in a mixed animal practice! And of course, she loves the reward of nursing a sick pet back to health and getting them home to their family.
